The Church I am currently working with in Adelaide has just begun a ladies’ Bible study learning the Inductive Bible Study method as I take the ladies through God Are You There?
A comment I often hear after a few weeks of teaching this method is, “I thought I was too old to learn to study the Bible on my own. But now that I have had a chance to use this material, I see that I can do it!”
One of my dear friends is 80 years old and she is excited as a child in a sweet shop when she talks about her Bible study and what she is learning from it! This is what keeps me going!
God is at work in the hearts and minds of men and women from all kinds of cultures and nationalities and I just praise Him for giving me the honour and privilege of being a part of what He’s doing and being able to see the fruit that comes from His ministry!

In John’s gospel there is a passage that I have always kept in mind when things have not gone my way. The Lord challenged His disciples if they would continue to follow Him. Peter’s answer rings down through the centuries: “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life” (John 6:8). It is these words that we study.
The Word of God and the time spent in it is never wasted.

I joined a Precept group at a time in my life with many demands on me. My spiritual life felt dry and even though I knew in my head that there was living water available in a relationship with Christ, I was having difficulty accessing the encouragement and help I needed.
